The 2014 version of the Seattle Mariners gave their fans some serious glimmers of hope. With new manager Lloyd McClendon at the helm and the quarter-billion dollar Robinson Cano adding some meat to the middle of the order, the M’s posted a 16-win improvement over their 2013 counterparts. Amazingly, they did this with the worst DH corps in the league, with no offense intended to Logan Morrison, Kendrys Morales, and Justin Smoak. Okay, I mean a little offense to Smoak; that guy was such a disappointment (have fun with that, Toronto!).

They missed the playoffs by one…measely…stinkin’ game, which was over by the 5th inning, as the rival Oakland A’s had already clinched. At least that was before last call at Safeco Field. In no order of importance, here are five bold predictions for the 2015 Seattle Mariners.
